A5 Steakhouse

The Graphic design team from A5 Steakhouse reached out looking for a character to use in their new branding for a concept restaurant in Denver, Colorado. The initial idea was a cow doing the hula! I thought I must be dreaming! The idea was meant to support the high-end steak restaurant with a Hawaiin theme. You can see the progression in the sketches from Hula cow (rejected for possible appropriation) to a cow surfing. The process continued as the design team worked with the owners, the art direction focused in on “imagining the cows at a 70’s cocktail party”. Done! The images are used on their website and menus.
