Start Over Tomorrow While There’s Still Time is an exhibition showcasing artists who embrace wit and absurdity through ink on paper as a way to better cope with everyday life. This group exhibition features quirky line work and unpredictable texts that inspire us, give us positive energy, and make us smile. I was honored to be shown alongside Macartney Greer, Kyle Knobel, Nathaniel Russel, and Evan Verrilli.
Thank you Lotus for commissioning this red bellied wood pecker for your friend’s birthday!
“She told me earlier in the week Pym (the name she has given the real bird) poked his head out of his nest inside the tree as if to check the weather. She said he looked up toward the sky and then to the right and to the left. It was raining on that particular day and Sue Ellen, who was watching him, said he realized he needed his rain hat and boots and went back inside his nest to get them. She now calls your bird Pym as well. He sits right next to her desk – the boots are the icing on the cake!” — Lotus
I was delighted to receive a photo from Margie of her collection of papier mache creatures, that she called her “Boyhen Menagerie”. She’s been collecting them for several years and recently added a honey bee this past Christmas as a gift to her husband. Thank you Margie from Cincinnati!
